NLN Conference 2024

The National LADO Conference is an opportunity to:

  • Learn from other professionals that share your role
  • To attend talks with a focus on your role
  • Take part in the only LADO training. Our sessions are run by LADOs for LADOs
  • To be able to influence the legal framework in which we work

This year the conference was held at The Encore Suite at Old Trafford , the Home of Manchester United Football Club.

The National LADO Network would like to thank Manchester United for kindly providing the venue for the event and acting as gracious hosts for the day.

The event was attended by over 140 LADOs from round the country who as well as taking part in a number of interactive workshops also enjoyed

  • A welcome and update from the Chair of the NLN, Steve Hall
  • a presentation from Stuart Gallagher, Senior Lecturer, Institute of Education, University of Worcester, on Changing Safeguarding cultures
  • An Update from Cathy Taylor- Acting Head of Partnerships, on the Dation and Barring Service Outreach project
